Margaret Mary Pope (Hogan)
Peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2017 after a brief hospitalization, aged 83 years. Beloved wife of Jim for 54 years. Loving mother of Stephen (Melody), David, Michael, Jim (Kathleen) and the late William (at infancy). Dear sister of Shirley (Tom Van Dusen) and Brian (Lorraine). Adored “Nana” to Sarah, Casey, James, Ava, Frances, Jacob, Sierra and Kaytie. Pre-deceased by Jim, her parents Joseph and Gladys Hogan and her brother Donny. Margo enjoyed reading, interior design, travelling with friends and spending time with family. After raising her sons, Margo enjoyed a career in administration at Carleton University. Upon retirement, Margo dedicated volunteer hours at Habitat for Humanity, the Ottawa Food Bank, St. Patrick’s Home and at St. Monica’s parish. She was an active and appreciative member of St. Theresa’s parish.

Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor), on Thursday, July 13 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, 95 Somerset Street (at Cartier) on Friday, July 14 at 11am. Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
