In Helen's autobiography there is a section on her travels and contributions in the Caribbean. I read it with great delight as I am originally from Trinidad and much of what Helen recounted she had shared with me when I was doing research for my book on Nita Barrow. They remained good friends until Nita's death. In fact, Helen paid me the honor of writing the Preface to my book" Breaking the Glass Ceiling". We have kept in touch over the years especially at Christmas but I seemed to have lost touch the past two or three years. I admired her very much and found that despite her many accomplishments she remained a humble person.
